Comparison of fire regime on tropical savannas: temporal and spatial patterns of fire occurrence through remote sensing

ASSESSMENT OF MANAGEMENT IMPACT ON FIRE OCCURRENCE: COMPARISON OF FIRE REGIME OF TROPICAL SAVANNAS IN PROTECTED AREAS.

 I compared fire regimes between two tropical savannas located in the same latitude but in different continents (Africa and South America), combining remote sensing methods. Ibity and Itremo New Protected Areas are located in Madagascar's central highlands. The Parque Nacional da Serra do Cipó and Área de Proteção Ambiental Morro da Pedreira are located in Monas Gerais state, Brazil. Although located on different continents, the two protected areas share ecological similarities.
